Bookshelf Inspiration
I went to visit a friend of mine in South Carolina recently. Getting out-of-town quarterly help me stay refreshed, inspired, and enjoy moments with old friends.
My friend’s book collection is inspiring because her shelves are shaped by curiosity. Not degrees or certifications. Books about animal behavior, psychology, and philosophy fill her shelves.
Looking at her books was a reminder. What we spend our time on says more about us than any degree or certification.
A book collection reflects a love of learning and a willingness to explore new ideas. Bookshelves are a kind of a personal roadmap. Each book title is connecting us to the things we’re passionate about. They answer questions we’re eager to explore.
What do your bookshelves say about you?
- Do you see your reading habits as a reflection of your personality or interests?
- Have you ever found yourself quietly admiring (or even judging, just a little) a friend by the books they keep on display?
